A low pressure system will be moving over our area through the course of today (Friday) into the early morning hours of Saturday.

Expect strong gusty winds, rain that may be heavy at times, and minor to moderate tidal flooding.

If you are in a low-lying area, please move your vehicle to higher ground such as the County Library located at 48th and Central Avenue. Today’s high tide is scheduled for 3:30 p.m., with continued incursion 90 minutes after that.

As we always ask, please do not drive your vehicles through flood waters as the salt water will not only severely damage your car, but your wake may damage nearby properties and businesses.

If you need police assistance, call (609) 263-4311, ext. 0. If it is an emergency, call 911.

Thank you and be careful.
