On December 9, the Cape May County Police Chief’s Association hosted a “Holiday Dash” 1-Mile Run / Walk that benefitted Mayor Desiderio’s 24th Annual Holiday Toy and Food Drive. Dozens of walkers and runners participated in the Holiday Dash, and each donated an unwrapped toy or non-perishable food item that will be distributed to local families in need prior to Christmas Day.

Many of the event’s participants were donned in festive holiday attire – and everyone received a Certificate of Thanks from the Cape May County Police Chief’s Association.

“I am very grateful to our County’s Police Chiefs and everyone who supported the Holiday Dash – including Dr. and Mrs. Barrett, who helped organize the event,” said Mayor Leonard Desiderio. “This was the inaugural year for our Holiday Dash, and it will help ensure the success of our Toy and Food Drive. I ask everyone to mark their calendars for the 2017 Holiday Dash on Saturday, November 25, at 6:00 p.m. along 63rd Street in Sea Isle City.”
