While Hurricane Jose is forecast to remain well off of our shores, its remnants will be felt over the next few days.

Sea Isle City and the surrounding region are expected to experience strong gusty winds, rain, heavy surf conditions, and minor-to-moderate tidal flooding starting tonight and running through Wednesday morning, September 20.

The greatest amount of tidal flooding is expected to occur during Tuesday evening’s high tide, at approximately 8:30 p.m. on September 19.

The degree of tidal flooding and other conditions associated with Jose are ultimately dependent on the storm’s tract.

As always, we caution everyone in Sea Isle City to move your vehicles out of flood prone areas and to secure deck furniture and other objects that may be exposed to strong winds.

Please do not drive through flooded streets, because you can severely damage your vehicle and your wake may cause damage to nearby businesses and residential properties.

Should you need police assistance, please call 609-263-4311 ext. 0.

Should you have an emergency, please dial 911.
