Sea Isle City’s Fall Family Festival on the weekend of Sept. 16-17 included more than 60 classic cars and trucks gracing the oceanfront Promenade in the 20th Annual Gerard Desiderio Antique Auto Show.

A wide variety of vehicles were on display, ranging from vintage muscle cars and hot rods to classic sedans and touring vehicles – and even a restored New York City fire engine.

Following a rather difficult judging process, the winners of this year’s auto show were honored during an awards ceremony at the end of the event. Mayor Leonard Desiderio and Auto Show host Jim Ambro handed out trophies to the winners.

The recipient of the “Best in Show” trophy was Janet Raffa, of Sea Isle City, owner of an eye-catching teal green 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible, which featured an immaculate interior, white wall tires and other attractive details.

Dave Fiedler, of Absecon, N.J., won the “Mayor’s Choice” trophy for his beautifully restored 1946 Chevrolet pickup truck, which featured sparkling chrome, a red-and-black paint job, running boards and traditional wood slats surrounding the truck’s bed.

After the awards were distributed, all of the vehicles that appeared in the show were invited to participate in the festival’s annual Antique Auto Show Parade around town.
