Sea Isle City’s VFW Post 1963 Auxiliary will host a “Dollar Dog Day” fundraiser on Saturday, July 27, to benefit current and former members of the military.
The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at VFW Post 1963, located at 301 JFK Boulevard, adjacent to the Sea Isle Bridge. The event will raise money in support of active duty U.S. military members and veterans.
During the family-friendly gathering, hotdogs, snacks and beverages will be on sale for $1 each. There will also be lawn games assisted by Girl Scout Troop 4102. Everyone will also have the opportunity to have their photo taken in an authentic military Jeep.
“This event not only will help raise funds for our troops and veterans, but it will also raise awareness of our ongoing cause to help our men and women in uniform,” Post 1963 Auxiliary President Patricia Lloyd said. “Special thanks go to our sponsors, ACME Markets, Wal-Mart, and Pepsico.”
