Residents can sign up for a program that lets officers know you are safe.

Sea Isle City residents can easily sign up for a free service called the “Citizen Call-Check” Program (also known as CCC), which helps ensure that seniors, the physically disabled and those who live alone are safe in their homes each day of the year.

Once registered, residents simply call the Sea Isle Police Department each morning to say, “I am OK.”

If the police don’t hear from you by 11 a.m. each day, they will call you.

And, if you don’t answer your phone when they call, they will send an officer to knock on your door — just to make sure you’re doing well.

To learn how to register for the SICPD’s Citizen Call-Check Program, call the police department’s records department Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at (609) 263-4311, ext. 2223 or 2246.
