Sea Isle City’s Police Department is joining forces with local merchants and others members of the community to provide families with an enjoyable line-up of events and activities during National Night Out on Aug.6.

The event runs from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and includes live music, snacks an outdoor movie, a dunk tank, photo booth, games and other family-friendly activities at Excursion Park at JFK Boulevard and the beach.

In addition to enjoying a variety of hands-on displays from Municipal and County first responders – and an array of impressive emergency vehicles – families attending Sea Isle City’s National Night Out will also be offered complimentary snacks and refreshments, face painting, a photo booth, giveaways, live music, games and more.

Plus, for a small fee, kids of all ages can splash police officers into a dunk tank that will raise funds for Mayor Desiderio’s annual Holiday Toy & Food Drive.

Also during National Night Out, the SICPD will host a commencement ceremony for their 1st Annual Summer Kid’s Camp, during which the participants will receive Certificates of Completion.

Free pizza is one of the delights at National Night Out.

Additionally, members of Sea Isle City’s Municipal Alliance Committee will be on hand to give away free kites, which will promote their theme for the evening: “Fly High on Life, Not Drugs.”

After Sea Isle City’s National Night Out activities are over, the City will offer a free showing of the movie Incredibles 2 at 8:30 p.m., which will begin at dusk at Excursion Park.
