Mayor Leonard Desiderio is inviting everyone to attend Sea Isle City’s 2022 “Community Day” on Saturday, May 7.

Community Day will begin with a regular City Council meeting at 9 a.m. on the third floor of City Hall, 233 JFK Boulevard.

The agenda for the meeting can be found on the homepage of www.seaislecitynj.us.

There will also be a free document shredding event on May 7 in the parking lot of the Community Lodge, 300 JFK Boulevard, from 9 a.m. to noon, sponsored by First Bank of Sea Isle City.

At 10 a.m. on Community Day, Mayor Desiderio will be joined by veterans advocate Joe Griffies and members of the Gold-Star Tapper family at the intersection of 89th Street and Pleasure Avenue, where they will dedicate the street in memory of U.S. Navy Seal David M. Between 10 a.m. to noon inside the Community Lodge, residents and visitors can speak with city officials about flood prevention efforts, recreation and tourism events, recycling regulations, and other city-related programs.

Representatives from local civic organizations (including the VFW, Knights of Columbus, Women’s Civic Club, Catholic Daughters, Save Our Strays, AARP and others) will also be on hand to explain the services and programs they offer.

Additionally, there will face painters for the kids inside the Community Lodge, as well as free giveaways for people of all ages.
