Remember to wear your ugliest, silliest and most overly-festive looking sweater, have someone take a photo and then send it to Sea Isle.
That is, if you want a chance at winning a prize.
Yes, Sea Isle City’s Division of Recreation is at it again. They are hosting the second annual Ugly Holiday Sweater Contest.
“Our recreation team came up with the idea last year during the pandemic when other aspects of life were closed down,” explained Sea Isle City Public Information Officer Katherine Custer. “This year, we hoped to continue it to add some extra fun and whimsy to the holiday activities in Sea Isle City.”
While Custer did not divulge the prize to the lucky winner, she gave a hint.
“We will give away a Sea Isle City-themed prize,” she said.
Bill Kehner, of the Recreation Office, is organizing the event.
She noted that the entries in 2020 were silly, to say the least.
“Last year’s entries put so many smiles on so many faces we felt it was a good idea to do it again this year,” Custer said. “We all look forward to seeing all of the fun entries again this year.”
To enter, contestants can upload photos of themselves wearing their favorite “Ugly Sweater” to the Sea Isle City Recreation Facebook Page or email them to sicrec@seaislecitynj.us. And include your name when you submit your photo.
The deadline to submit a photo is Dec. 17, and the winner will be announced on Dec. 21.
