Many of Sea Isle's beaches are now protected by lifeguards seven days a week.

The Sea Isle City Beach Patrol is guarding more beaches now that the peak summer season is gearing up.

The following beaches will have lifeguards in attendance seven days a week: 24th, 28th, 32nd, 34th, 38th, 40th, 42nd, 43rd, 45th, 49th, 51st, 54th, 56th, 59th, 61st, 64th, 68th, 71st, 75th, 77th, 81st, 84th, 86th, 89th and 92nd streets.

The following beaches will have lifeguards in attendance on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays: 3rd, 6th and 9th streets.

Lifeguards are on duty from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Swimming is only permitted on bathing beaches and only when lifeguards are in attendance.

Not all beaches have lifeguards present. Use of beaches without lifeguards in attendance is at one’s own risk, according to the Sea Isle Beach Patrol’s website sicbp.com.
