The following is a statement from the Sea Isle City Police Department:

The governor’s office has enacted “Social Distancing” measures to assist in stemming the spread of the COVID-19 (coronavirus).

During this time, the Sea Isle City Police Department will remain dedicated to serving the visitors and residents of Sea Isle City in a professional manner.

The Sea Isle City Police Department has implemented procedures to take reports over the phone for minor/non-emergency calls for service that do not require evidence to be collected or an on-scene investigation.

We encourage our residents and visitors to utilize the phone option if they have an incident meeting the above criteria.

Officers will continue to respond to all emergencies and calls for service requiring on-scene investigation or assistance.

Until further notice: When someone calls the Police Department for a minor/non-emergency call for service, Dispatch will collect all relevant information and an officer will return the call as soon as possible.

The goal of this temporary procedure is to help cut down on unnecessary person-to-person contact, which will lower the risks of spreading COVID-19.

This procedure is important for both the safety of the public and our first responders.

To contact the Sea Isle City Police Department for non-emergency calls, dial (609) 263-4311, ext. 0.

For emergencies dial 911.
