Sea Isle City officials and residents gather around a newly planted tree during an earlier Arbor Day celebration.
An Arbor Day celebration will be held at noon on Saturday, April 25, inside Sea Isle City’s new Community Center at 4500 Central Avenue.
It will be hosted by Sea Isle’s Beautification Committee, Environmental Commission, Garden Club, Green Team, Historical Society and Shade Tree Committee.
The free public event will feature guest speakers, a poetry reading, complementary light refreshments and the presentation of this year’s “Green Thumb Award” to a municipal employee who has helped beautify Sea Isle.
Also, several longstanding trees that were planted by local students decades ago – and are still in place on the grounds of the new Community Center – will be re-dedicated.
