The Miss New Jersey Education Foundation has announced that preliminary and final competitions for the state crown will be held next week in Atlantic City.
The events will begin 8 p.m. each night, June 12 through 14, at the Resorts Superstar Theatre.
A celebration will be held following the crowning at 11:30 p.m. June 14.
The road to Miss American provides women with a unique opportunity to demonstrate the four points of the Miss America crown: style, service, scholarship and success.
The winner of the Miss New Jersey crown will represent the state in the national Miss America Competition.
This year’s judges include internationally acclaimed tenor Christopher Macchio, former TV news-anchor-turned-publicist Mindie Barnett, Visit Atlantic City President and CEO Larry Sieg, former contestant and Stockton University Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff Dr. Terricita Sass, Atlantic City Electric Senior Government and External Affairs Manager and founder of the Hispanic Association of Atlantic County Bert Lopez, Executive Director of the Miss New York competition Linda Carbo, and Miss Nebraska 1990 Michelle McCormick.
