  • News
Mayor Leonard Desiderio invites everyone to attend Sea Isle City’s annual Community Day on Saturday, May 4, which will include:
  • City Council Meeting: 9 a.m. on the third floor of City Hall.
  • Free Document Shredding: 9 a.m. to 12 noon, Community Lodge parking lot.
  • Bicycle auction: 10:15 a.m. in the Community Lodge parking lot. All bidders must register prior to making bids (there is no fee to register); and registration begins on site at 9:30 a.m. Only cash or checks will be accepted for payment of bicycles. All bicycles will be sold “as is” and “where is” – and bicycles must be removed from the area when the auction is over. The rain location for the auction is the covered parking lot under City Hall.
  • Meet & Greet: 10 a.m. to 12 noon in the Community Lodge, where the public can speak with city and county officials as well as representatives from local civic groups. There will also be face painters and free giveaways for the kids – so bring the entire family.
  • Awards Ceremony: 11:30 a.m. in the Community Lodge, where Mayor Desiderio will present his annual “Do the Right Thing” awards, First Bank of Sea Isle City will honor their 2024 Community Partnership Award recipient, and the mayor will honor the winning artists from the 2024 Beach Tag Art Contest.
  • Historical Plaque Unveiling Ceremonies: New bronze plaques for “Haffert’s Folly” (JFK Boulevard and Park Road) and the Ludlam Beach Lighthouse (31st Street and the Promenade) will be unveiled following the Awards Ceremony on May 4.
