Traffic delays are expected at three Cape May County toll bridges during state-mandated safety inspections and testing later this month.
On Tuesday, Dec. 12, traffic will be halted on the Townsends Inlet Bridge in both directions for periods of up to 15 minutes between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m., according to a county news release. The Townsends Inlet Bridge connects Sea Isle City and Avalon.
Also on Dec. 12, traffic will be halted in both directions on the Middle Thorofare Bridge for periods of up to 15 minutes from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Middle Thorofare Bridge links Cape May and Wildwood Crest.
Then on Wednesday, Dec. 13, the Grassy Sound Bridge will have traffic delays in both directions for periods of up to 15 minutes from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Grassy Sound Bridge connects North Wildwood and Stone Harbor.
