Coastal Flood Warning for Sea Isle

  • News
The Sea Isle City Office of Emergency Management released the following statement about the continued remnants of Hurricane Ian: As our area continues to feel the impacts of Ian, the National Weather Service has issued updates Sunday that increase the total amount of rain and the severity of tidal flooding expected. What was a Coastal Flood Advisory has been upgraded to a Coastal Flood Warning for our area. We can expect moderate tidal flooding through the next several high-tide cycles. Additional rain amounts Sunday through Tuesday are now forecast to be 2 to 3 inches of rain with a possibility of 4 inches falling in certain areas. The additional rain could make flooding more severe. If you have not done so, and you are in a flood-prone area in town, please move your vehicles to the Sea Isle City Library parking lot or other areas that are not as susceptible to flooding. To access more information about the tides, visit the Stevens Institute Tide Chart, which can be found on the “Flood Info” link on Sea Isle City’s municipal website, www.seaislecitynj.us
