Frank Donato, the city's chief financial officer, explains the proposed 2018 municipal budget to the Council members.
Construction work will be done to repair a deteriorated bulkhead next to Sea Isle City’s 59th Street fishing pier.
Work will begin when lumber and construction materials arrive at the site at the bay end of 59th Street. A start date has not yet been announced.
The fishing pier will be closed for approximately one week to accommodate construction, according to an update on the project posted on the city’s website
seaislecitynj.us.
The bulkhead helps to protect 59th Street and the upscale bayfront homes in the surrounding neighborhood from flooding, but it has become deteriorated and must be repaired.
A $69,200 construction contract has been awarded by the city to Albert Marine Construction, of Waretown, N.J.
