A Pennsylvania teenager has been charged with sexual assault for an attack that allegedly occurred July 24 on a beach in Sea Isle City, authorities announced Friday.
Francis H. Grady, 19, of Springfield, Pa., is facing charges of aggravated assault, aggravated sexual assault and aggravated assault by strangulation, Sea Isle police said.
Grady remains in custody at the Cape May County Correction Center pending a detention hearing. He was arrested July 27 following an investigation by the Sea Isle Police Department and Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office.
Authorities said in a news release that Grady was involved in a sexual assault that occurred in the early morning hours of July 24 on the 33rd Street beach.
No other details were immediately released.
