The Townsends Inlet Bridge was temporarily shut down Thursday due to flooding, according to an announcement on the Sea Isle City Police Department Facebook page.
By about 5:30 p.m., the bridge was reopened, police said.
The bridge was temporarily closed early in the day amid a National Weather Service coastal flood advisory until 4 p.m.
“The Townsends Inlet Bridge is closed due to high water and wave action on the Avalon side. Please find an alternate route,” according to the Sea Isle Police Department traffic alert on Facebook.
The bridge, which links Sea Isle and Avalon, closed for 10 months for extensive repairs and reopened at the end of July.
