Catch It While You Can – October Summer Fling Coming To An End

  • News
A mother and son enjoy a sunny afternoon in Ocean City near 21st Street. It's been a tremendous week with plenty of sunshine and unseasonably warm temperatures. Unfortunately, it will soon come to an end. For now, Wednesday will feature a mix of sun and clouds with highs again in the upper 70s. Temperatures on the mainland will soar into the 80s with record high possible. Remainder of the week will not be as warm. Expect more clouds and winds will turn southerly then southeasterly by Friday. A strong cold front will arrive in time for the weekend ushering in breezy and cooler conditions. We are also watching a storm off the Southeast coast that has the potential to become Sub-Tropical Otto. Fortunately, it will remain offshore as it is picked up by the approaching cold front. 99l_tracks_latestCourtesy: tropicaltidbits.com
The best chance of showers will be on Friday night as the cold front moves through. Most of the rain will remain to our west and also into New England. hhpic2Courtesy: tropicaltidbits.com Saturday should remain mostly dry but a brief shower is possible as the storm intensifies over New England. Winds on Saturday will be quiet windy as strong northwest winds will be 20-25mph with gusts over 30 mph. hhpic3Courtesy: tropicaltidbits.com You will need to dig into your drawers for your sweatshirts and long pants this weekend, high temperatures will remain in the low 60s with lows in the 40s. Sunday will not be as windy but there will be plenty of sunshine. Cool and dry conditions will continue as we move into next week with highs around 60.
