Soggy Conditions Continue Into Your Weekend

  • News
the-ultimate-beach-goer-4 Our dismal weather continues through at least the 1st half of the weekend before we see some improvement. Periods of rain, drizzle and fog is expected on Saturday as the slow moving low pressure system to our west begins to lift up into the Northeast U.S. It will not be as cool as Friday as milder and more humid air moves in. Temperatures should get back to around 70. map-10-1aEven though winds have subsided and tides are dropping, we can still expect some minor tidal flooding Saturday morning.
njatl By Sunday, while we cannot rule out a few showers especially in the morning, we also have a chance to see the sun for the first time in several days. Temperatures will reach into mid 70s. We finally get a break starting Monday as a high pressure system will build across the Northeast keeping us dry & seasonable but with a steady onshore breeze. map10-1bThen we wait as Hurricane Matthew will begin to move up the coast later next week. It is too early to speculate what specific impacts we might see from Matthew but even if he stays well offshore, rough surf, rip currents and beach erosion would be expected regardless.
