On Thursday, August 4, at 5:00 p.m., Sea Isle City's Division of Recreation will host a Philadelphia Flyers "Hooked on Hockey" clinic for boys and girls, ages 6-12, at the Dealy Field Hockey Court, 6108 Central Avenue. The cost for the one-hour clinic is $5 per child.
The Flyers Hooked on Hockey program was created to teach children how they can benefit from the sport of hockey while having fun and being active. Hooked on Hockey provides participants with an introduction to basic hockey fundamentals such as stick handling, passing and shooting.
In addition to enjoying an informative clinic, led by Flyers-legend Bob "Hound" Kelly, each participant will also receive a complementary Flyers Mylec hockey stick.
Sea Isle's Hooked on Hockey clinic is limited to 60 participants. Children who wish to take part in the clinic must pre-register by phoning the Sea Isle City Recreation Office at 609-263-0050 or 609-263-6163.
