Mayor Leonard Desiderio

Even though people throughout the world are currently experiencing one of the most difficult times in recent history, I am inspired by the positive attitudes, generosity and kindness that I see in others.

I’m confident that when neighbors care for one another and everyone understands that we are all in this together, we will be able to beat this pandemic and emerge stronger on the other side.

In the meantime, I remind everyone to stay in your homes, to practice social distancing, to frequently wash your hands and avoid touching your face, and to follow all other directives from Federal, State and County health officials.

Also, please know that your City government remains open and municipal employees are on duty to answer your questions by phone. More importantly, we will continue to provide all of the services that you rely upon.

Therefore, our police officers, firefighters and emergency medical responders are ready to assist the public at all times, our public works employees will continue to pick-up our trash and recycling from the curb, the Water Department will keep our clean water flowing, and other municipal employees – including workers at City Hall and at the Department of Community Services – are able to assist you in a variety of ways.

Please make note of the following websites so you can stay informed and be aware of all developments related to the Coronavirus:

  • The Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s website has important information and timely updates: cdc.gov.
  • Cape May County’s website has a special page devoted to COVID-19 and a link to the County Health Department: https://capemaycountynj.gov.
  • Sea Isle City’s municipal website lists local cancellations and other useful facts that will keep you “in the know:” seaislecitynj.us.

We are all in this together, and together we shall see this through!

Sincerely,

Mayor Leonard C. Desiderio
