Due to the upcoming holidays, curbside trash and recycling collections will not take place on Wednesday, Dec. 25, or Wednesday, Jan. 1.
Properties scheduled for curbside collections on those days will have their trash and recycling collected one day later than usual. Dec. 25 collections will take place on Dec. 26, and Jan. 1 collections will take place on Jan. 2.
Sea Isle City’s Trash & Recycling Drop-Off Area, located at 401 JFK Boulevard adjacent to the Sea Isle Bridge, will be closed on Christmas Day. However, the Drop-Off Area will be open on New Year’s Day from 7:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.
Because the holidays often come with packaging, gift wrapping and decorations, many people have questions about what to recycle or place in the trash. To help everyone properly dispose of the many items that accumulate during the holiday season, the Cape May County Municipal Utilities Authority (CMCMUA) has “Waste Wizard” (an application that instructs you to recycle or dispose of waste material).

Do You Have a Fresh-Cut Christmas Tree? When the Christmas rush is over, the Department of Public Works will collect fresh-cut (live) Christmas trees each Friday in January. Residents are reminded to please remove all decorations (including tinsel) before placing their fresh-cut Christmas trees on the curb for collection.
