Because Christmas Day and New Year’s Day are city holidays, there will be no curbside trash and recycling collections on Monday, Dec. 25 or Monday, Jan. 1.
All curbside trash and recycling collections during the weeks of Dec. 25 and Jan. 1 will take place one day later than usual (Monday’s collections will take place on Tuesday, Tuesday’s collections will take place on Wednesday, etc.).
The Trash & Recycling Drop-Off Area (aka “The Depot”) will be closed on Christmas Day. However, it will be open on New Year’s Day from 7:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.
As a reminder, curbside bulk trash collections take place on the following streets and days (October through April):
- 1st to 44th Street on first Thursday of the month
- 45th to 70th Street on second Thursday of the month
- 71st to 94th Street on third Thursday of the month
- Brush on fourth Thursday of the month citywide
