First Bank of Sea Isle City donated $7500 this month to four local organizations as part of the bank’s ongoing community outreach efforts.

The recipients were Saint Maximilian Kolbe Church in Marmora, Mayor Leonard Desiderio’s Holiday Toy & Food Drive, Sea Isle City United Methodist Church, and Sea Isle’s VFW Post 1963.

According to First Bank of Sea Isle City President and CEO Larry Schmidt, giving back to the community is an important aspect of being a community bank.

“Each of these very worthy organizations has outreach programs, which extend our donations even further into the community – and we like that, because it allows this money to help more people on multiple levels,” Schmidt said in the news release.

Schmidt added, “As a community bank we are always looking for ways to give back to our community.  These recent donations augment our Community Partnership Award, which we present to a local non-profit organization each spring during Sea Isle’s Community Day.”
