Closed since 2012, the former public school on Park Road may be redeveloped into a community recreation center.

Cape Assist will hold Caregiver Support Group meetings in Sea Isle City to provide help and encouragement for people who are caring for a loved one.

The meetings are scheduled every Tuesday 9:30-10:30 a.m. for five weeks starting Feb. 5 at the former Sea Isle public school at 4501 Park Road. The dates are Feb. 5, Feb. 12, Feb. 19, Feb. 26 and March 5.

The meetings will offer support and encouragement from others who share a similar experience caring for a loved one.

Topics will include positive self-talk, deep breathing techniques, support networks, guided imagery and accessing resources.

People completing the five-week program will be given a $30 gift card, according to the Sea Isle chapter of the AARP.
