Anthony’s has acquired the Beachwood Restaurant in a deal involving two well-known eateries in Sea Isle City.

Now located at the corner of 44th Street and Landis Avenue, Anthony’s will take over the space currently occupied by the Beachwood at 86th Street and Landis inside The Dunes restaurant, banquet and condominium complex in the Townsends Inlet section of Sea Isle.

“The acquisition provides a spacious new facility that includes a banquet room similar to their Pennsylvania restaurants, Anthony’s Ristorante at the historic Lamb Tavern and Anthony’s at Paxon Hollow Country Club,” according to a news release announcing the Beachwood acquisition.

Two key advantages of the new Sea Isle location are the larger banquet space and the liquor license, which will allow Anthony’s to cater to larger events, the release stated.

The sale price was not announced.

The restaurant’s new location will keep the Anthony’s name and is expected to open this spring. Anthony’s is owned by Anthony Foster.

Anthony’s will move from its current location at the corner of 44th Street and Landis Avenue into the Beachwood site at 86th and Landis.

From pastas and Italian specialties to steaks, chops and fresh fish, customers will enjoy the same menu items as well as brand new cocktail and wine selections at the new Anthony’s location.

“The staff at Anthony’s looks forward to continuing to serve the Sea Isle City community from the new location at 8600 Landis Avenue,” the release says.

As part of the new deal, Anthony’s will rent out its current location at 44th and Landis to Blitz’s Market. Ross DelRomano, owner of Blitz’s Market, will continue to operate the existing Blitz’s Market at 85th Street and Landis Avenue in Sea Isle as well as the new site at 44th and Landis.

Meanwhile, the Beachwood’s last day of business will be Dec. 10. Beachwood has operated in Sea Isle since 2019 from its base at The Dunes complex.

“We want to express our gratitude to our customers who have been part of this journey. It has been a joy to serve you and we know you will enjoy the same quality and service while dining at Anthony’s,” the Beachwood said in a message on its Facebook page.
