It may be a mixed weekend at the beach. No worries, there is so much more to do.

Vacations are wonderful and the beach is amazing, but sometimes the forces of nature give us a little push to explore town. On an overcast day in Sea Isle City the fun doesn’t stop. Shopping, going out to eat, and having a drink at the bar are all good ways to spend the time that mother nature gives you away from the beach.

From left to right, Nina Zinni, Amanda Grayson, Maddie Zachark, Jill Root, and Maggie Forker spend their cloudy day grabbing a drink at the LaCosta Deck Bar

When the sky is grey and you can’t bring lunch to the beach like you usually do Sea Isle has quite a few places to grab a bite to eat or drink. La Costa’s Beach bar is connected to Casino Pizza and has much more to serve than just pizza. Waitresses give this beach bar a small restaurant like feel and a full bar make La Costa’s beach bar a great time.

The inside of The Dead Dog Saloon could not get any more exciting! A packed bar means a great time and an even better story!

When you are looking for a drink, and some crazy people to hang out with, the dead dog saloon is a great bar, located just next to the Wawa on 38th and Landis Ave. They have a full bar, and friendly bartenders. Not to mention the atmosphere and the other patrons are a blast to hang out with.

To get more of a restaurant feel, The Ocean Drive Beach Sandbar and Grille has full tables and hostesses to seat you. Having a full menu and bar makes The Sandbar an excellent place to grab a bite to eat.

Stephany Parcell shows gets her sister Monica Parcell’s opinion on a dress she likes at Groovy Girls boutique on 39th Street and Landis Avenue

If you are not in the mood for food, shopping is another way to spend your time. Groovy Girls is a wonderful boutique located on 39th and Landis Avenue. From have bags to dresses to sunglasses this small store has it all. The staff is friendly from the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out the door, and if they do not have something in your size, they will do their best to order it for you.

Boardwalk Casino Arcade was packed with families looking to enjoy their cloudy day away from the beach

For kids, Boardwalk Casino Arcade is the perfect place to bring them when looking for some fun. Plenty of games and an air conditioned atmosphere make this the best business on the boardwalk to spend a cloudy day when it’s not quite nice enough for the beach.

The Boardwalk is packed with people enjoying the breeze and the lovely ocean air on this overcast day in Sea Isle City.

Not everything costs money, overcast skies might ruin the day’s beach plans, but some people love to walk the boardwalk when the weather is cloudy. Something about the breeze and hidden sun make it a beautiful day to take a stroll. For those who have sensitive eyes there is no need for sunglasses, and those who enjoy a fall breeze will love the slight chill in the air. Overall, a bad day for the weather does not make it a bad day in Sea Isle City.
