On Saturday, March 11, Mayor Leonard Desiderio and his family will host Sea Isle City’s annual Saint Patrick’s Day Parade and Irish Celebration.  The parade will take place along Landis Avenue from 83rd Street to 63rd Street starting at 3:30 p.m.

In addition to countless green-clad spectators lining Landis Avenue, Sea Isle’s 2017 Saint Patrick’s Day Parade will feature many participants, including the Cape Atlantic Police & Fire Irish Pipe Brigade, the Ancient Order of Hibernians Color Guard, and representatives from local Irish families, civic organizations and businesses.  The parade will also include Sea Isle’s 2017 “Irish Royal Family” along with City, County and State officials.

Immediately following the parade, spectators can attend this year’s Irish Celebration at Kix-McNutley’s on 63rd Street, where live music and dancing will be offered.

Prior to the Parade and Irish Celebration, the public is invited to participate in a “Best Dressed Contest” at 2:00 p.m. at Kix-McNutley’s on 63rd Street, where prizes will be given to the “Best Dressed Irish Individual” and the “Best Dressed Irish Group.”  Registration for this competition begins at 1:30 p.m. at Kix-McNutley’s. All contestants who enter the Best Dressed Contest will be invited to appear in this year’s Saint Patrick’s Day Parade.

“Sea Isle’s Saint Patrick’s Day Parade is the oldest in Cape May County,” said Mayor Desiderio. “Many Irish eyes will be smiling on March 11 because the parade will be a fun time for all!”
