Dr. Ryan Polselli is a breast imaging radiologist who is an expert in the field of 3D breast imaging. In 2016, he founded MammoLink®, a company that is redefining the traditional relationship between patients, breast imaging radiologists, OB-gyn and family practice physicians.

The innovative company offers technological solutions and radiological expertise to physicians who are directly involved in patient care to simplify and expedite the breast cancer screening process. MammoLink collaborates with leading experts in mammography to offer in-office mammogram services nationwide.

They provide state-of-the-art equipment and ensure legal compliance, offering customized solutions tailored to individual practice needs.

With instant interpretations and immediate follow-up imaging if needed, MammoLink delivers premier mammography services for both practices and patients.

“I decided on naming my business MammoLink for many reasons,” Dr. Polselli shares when discussing the heart and passion behind his practice. “But the most important thing was making sure I got across the idea of ‘linking’ my patients to the best mammography (mammo) care that they could possibly have. I wanted to provide the missing link to the patients. We provide the missing link to patients.”

MammoLink Revolutionizes The Industry

Dr. Polselli and MammoLink are in the process of developing partnerships with physician groups and breast cancer organizations throughout America. The idea for his company was born after he noticed many women simply did not get mammograms. He says there are several reasons why, due to time constraints or the multiple steps it would take them to schedule for their exam.

He wants to make the process as seamless as possible.

Dr. Polselli explains how he’s a spontaneous person who is a natural problem solver. He leans on his intuitive instincts in figuring out answers to problems. His dad was built the same way.

“I really do not have any control over when my ideas come to me. They just pop into my head randomly,” he elaborates, explaining how frustration triggers subconscious brainstorming sessions, often leading to innovative solutions.

“Sometimes I will wake up in the morning and have a way to fix or improve something,” he adds. Polselli acknowledges the importance of research and seeking expert opinions when faced with uncertainties. Despite the occasional annoyance it may cause his wife, he attributes this innate drive to his personality, noting, “You are either the person that wants to fix it or not.”

Dr. Polselli’s Education and Career Journey

Dr. Ryan Polselli graduated medical school from the University of South Florida’s Morsani College of Medicine in 2006. Prior to stepping into the medical field, he served the country in the United States Navy, working in the Navy’s nuclear power program for submarines and surface warfare ships.

He later completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Emory University School of Medicine in 2011, followed by a fellowship in Breast Cancer Imaging as an associate professor of medicine at The Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University Hospital, along with The Avon Breast Center of Grady Memorial Hospital, in Atlanta, Georgia.

Dr. Polselli began his formal clinical career as the Director of Breast Imaging for Memorial Health University Community Hospital in Georgia. Shortly after beginning clinical practice, he realized that certain patient needs were not being effectively met in the current healthcare system and started his own company to address those needs.

He is the lead breast imaging radiologist interpreter at four successful outpatient imaging centers. He interprets over 20,000 2D and 3D mammograms yearly and has performed thousands of ultrasound and stereotactic-guided biopsies.

MammoLink Provides Breast Cancer Screening and Diagnostic Services Directly To Patients And Clinicians

Dr. Ryan Polselli also holds provisional license patents for several breast imaging medical devices designed to improve patient care and reduce medical errors. Driven by a passion to bridge this gap in breast cancer detection and prevention, he later founded MammoLink to provide seamless access to high-quality mammography services. The name “MammoLink” embodies his vision of linking patients to the best possible care, addressing the missing link in breast health.

His business originally focused exclusively on technical innovations and marketed several patented devices that reduce medical errors and improved the patient breast cancer screening and diagnostic experience to healthcare companies.

More recently however, the company started a subdivision, known as MammoLink®, which offers its own breast cancer screening and diagnostic services directly to patients and clinicians throughout the United States.

In-office digital mammography significantly improves patient care by increasing breast cancer screening compliance, patient satisfaction, and returning a significant revenue stream directly back into one of the most important parts of the healthcare system—where direct contact occurs between patients and their doctors.

He says one trend that excites him is the rise of cost transparency in healthcare.

“It’s a long-awaited change that promises to revolutionize the industry,” Dr. Polselli says. “This trend empowers both physicians and patients, allowing patients to make informed decisions about their care. It fosters open communication and trust between patients and healthcare providers, ultimately leading to better outcomes.”

Dr. Ryan Polselli’s Personal Life

Ryan Polselli spent much of his youth in coastal Florida near Tampa but also experienced life in a small valley town outside Anchorage, Alaska.

These contrasting environments instilled in him a deep love for outdoor activities like hiking, boating, skiing, and flying. His passion for flying, nurtured since childhood, led him to obtain a private pilot license, which he still actively maintains.

Ryan is happily married to his wife, Miranda, and they primarily reside in Palm Harbor, Florida, although they frequently travel for work. Their beloved golden retriever, Piper, accompanies them on their adventures, which include traveling, photography, and exploring new restaurants.

Ryan and Miranda are passionate about the community and they send a portion of every mammogram back to the community to the charity chosen by each patient.

“In my journey as an entrepreneur, if there’s one practice I consistently advocate, it’s positive reinforcement,” Polselli shares. “I make it a habit to seek out the silver lining in every situation I face. Whether it’s uplifting a patient, acknowledging the efforts of a technologist, or simply boosting someone’s confidence, I approach each circumstance with a ‘glass half full’ mindset. Fostering positivity not only strengthens team dynamics but also cultivates an environment of enthusiasm within the company. I seize every opportunity to spread encouragement and support.”
