On the morning of July 4, children (ages 3-13) are invited to participate in running, jumping and throwing events during Sea Isle City’s annual Junior Olympics competition at Dealy Field.

Sea Isle City is the perfect place to celebrate our Nation’s Independence.  Throughout the long July 4th holiday weekend, a variety of free entertainment will be offered, including two concerts, a Junior Olympics competition for kids, line dancing, and a colorful fireworks display.

The fun begins on Friday, July 1, with “Family Fun Night” at the Excursion Park Band Shell, JFK Boulevard and the Promenade, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Hosted by Sea Isle’s Chamber of Commerce & Revitalization, this free event will feature music, country line dancing instructions and bull riding.  For more information about Family Fun Night, phone 609-263-9090.

Neil Diamond fans won’t want to miss a free concert featuring “Real Diamond” (Neil Diamond tribute) on Saturday, July 2, at the Excursion Park Band Shell, 8:00 to 10:00 p.m.  Concert-goers are reminded to bring beach blankets or folding chairs to this free event, which is hosted by the City’s Division of Tourism. On Monday, July 4, children (ages 3-13) are invited to Dealy Field at 9:30 a.m. for Sea Isle’s annual Junior Olympics competition. Hosted by volunteers from the Yacht Club of Sea Isle City and the City’s Division of Recreation, Junior Olympics is a long-standing July 4th tradition that includes running, jumping and throwing contests.  Olympic-style medals will be presented to winners as they stand on a three-tiered victory platform. Sea Isle City’s annual Independence Day Concert will take place on Monday, July 4, from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. at the Excursion Park Band Shell, featuring Ed Vezinho & The Jim Ward Big Band – a 17-piece orchestra that will perform a variety of classic patriotic tunes and Americana music. Then, Sea Isle’s Independence Day Fireworks Show will take place on July 4 at 9:00 p.m., launched from an ocean barge near the 50th Street beach. The rain date for Sea Isle’s Independence Day Concert and Fireworks Show is July 5.
