A tree giveaway sponsored by the Sea Isle City Environmental Commission will help beautify the town.

In an effort to add shade, beauty and habitat for wildlife in the community, the Sea Isle City Environmental Commission is hosting a free tree raffle.

The winners will have their choice of Autumn Gold Maple, Kanzan Cherry, Crepe Myrtle and Little Gem Magnolia trees, which will be planted by the Environmental Commission on local properties free of charge in June.

Winners are responsible for the watering and maintenance of their new trees. No guarantees apply. Trees will be planted on Sea Isle City properties only. Winners will be chosen during a random drawing at the Environmental Commission’s “Green Fair” at Excursion Park on Saturday, June 8, between noon and 2 p.m. Entrants don’t need to be present to win. One tree will be awarded per property.

Tree raffle entry forms are available online at www.seaislecitynj.us (on the Environmental Commission home page) and at the Sea Isle City Welcome Center, 300 JFK Boulevard.

Completed entry forms can be mailed to the Sea Isle City Environmental Commission, c/o City Hall, 233 JFK Boulevard, Sea Isle City, N.J. 08243. Entry forms can also be hand delivered to the Welcome Center during regular business hours.
