The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Warning in effect for Sea Isle City from 8 a.m. Sunday to 5 p.m. Monday.

Moderate flooding is expected midday on Sunday and Monday coinciding with high tide. The storm will also bring strong, gusty winds of up to 50 mph along the coast, according to the weather forecast.

A Coastal Flood Warning means that moderate or major tidal flooding is occurring or imminent. Be prepared for rising water levels and take appropriate action to protect life and property. Follow the recommendations of local emergency management officials, according to a storm advisory by the Sea Isle Police Department.

Do not drive your vehicle through flood waters, police say. The water may be deeper than you think it is. You will be putting yourself in danger and your vehicle may be damaged, leading to costly repairs.
