The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory in effect for Sea Isle City from 6 a.m. until noon on Sunday.

A new moon and strong southerly winds are expected to cause minor tidal flooding. Minor tidal flooding often results in some road closures.

Residents in areas that typically experience tidal flooding should be prepared to move vehicles before going to bed on Saturday night.

“Do not leave your vehicle at a location that is prone to tidal flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flood waters. The water may be deeper than you think it is. You will be putting yourself in danger and your vehicle may be damaged, leading to costly repairs,” according to a weather alert issued by the Sea Isle City Police Department.

The National Weather Service also issued a Wind Advisory in effect for the Jersey Shore from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday. Southerly winds could gust as high as 50 mph.

For Police and Fire Department emergencies, call 911. For non-emergencies, call 609-263-4311.
