The National Weather Service issued a Coastal Flood Advisory for Sea Isle City in effect from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday. A Wind Advisory also remains in effect through 3 a.m. Monday.

East winds of 20 mph to 30 mph gusting to 45 mph are expected to contribute to “minor” coastal flooding.

“At this level, flooding begins on the most vulnerable roads in coastal and bayside communities, and along inland tidal waterways. Some partial or full road closures are possible,” according to a weather alert from the Sea Isle Police Department.

For your safety and the protection of your vehicle and neighboring properties, never attempt to drive through flood waters, and do not drive around barricades.

“Do not leave your vehicle at a location that is prone to tidal flooding,” the weather alert says. “Do not drive your vehicle through flood waters. The water may be deeper than you think it is. You will be putting yourself in danger and your vehicle may be damaged, leading to costly repairs.”

For Police and Fire Department emergencies, call 911. For non-emergencies, call 609-263-4311.
