A Flash Flood Watch is currently in effect in Cape May County, according to the National Weather Service.

Strong to severe thunderstorms could affect the region Thursday afternoon and night, the NWS said.

Heavy rain and thunderstorms could result in flash flooding. The highest threat for flash flooding will be across most of New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania.

Damaging wind is the primary threat from severe thunderstorms Thursday afternoon and evening.
