Sea Isle pays to send its students to other districts because its former public school is closed and has since been demolished to make way for a community center.

During a Town Hall Meeting hosted by the City’s Administration on June 29, a questionnaire was offered that allowed audience members to share their thoughts and opinions regarding the future of the former public school at 4501 Park Road – and specifically, what type of recreation facility that property should become.

That questionnaire is now available online so those who were not able to attend the June 29 meeting can also express their views.

A link to the questionnaire can be found on the “News” tab located on the homepage of Sea Isle City’s municipal website at www.seaislecitynj.us. All completed questionnaires must be returned to the City by July 19.

Costs for renovating or redeveloping the former Sea Isle City Public School into a community recreation center range from $2 million to $20 million. The most expensive option would be a new recreation center that includes an indoor pool.
