A wide variety of exciting holiday activities will be offered for the entire family to enjoy when the Sea Isle City Chamber of Commerce and Revitalization hosts its sixth annual Holiday Extravaganza over Thanksgiving weekend. The event includes two days of free ice skating, refreshments and entertainment Nov. 24-25 at Excursion Park, located at JFK Boulevard and Pleasure Avenue.

“Families look forward to spending Thanksgiving weekend in Sea Isle City, and this year’s Holiday Extravaganza is going to be a wonderful time for all,” said Chris Glancey, President of the Sea Isle Chamber of Commerce and Revitalization.

“This event kicks off the holiday season in Sea Isle and puts everyone in the festive spirit. Many of our businesses are open and offering specials, too, so visitors have a chance to pick up a unique present for everyone on their list.”

Excursion Park will become a hub of holiday cheer beginning at 4pm on Friday, Nov. 24, when the ice skating rink opens. Ice skates and skating are provided free of charge and the rink is open until 9pm. From 5-6pm, there will be entertainment on the Excursion Park stage leading up to the Christmas Parade at 6pm. The parade, featuring local organizations, businesses and more, will begin at the Welcome Center and proceed toward Excursion Park, where Mayor Leonard Desiderio and Santa Claus will host the tree-lighting ceremony at 7pm. Parade participants will line up at 5:30pm between Central Avenue and Park Place.

On Saturday, Nov. 25, the event will be held from 10am-3pm. Families will enjoy a second day of ice skating and there will be entertainment from noon to 1pm. Santa will visit from 1-2pm to pose for photos with families. Throughout the day, more than a dozen Sea Isle City businesses will participate in Small Business Saturday. Customers who spend $20 at participating businesses on Small Business Saturday will be entered in a raffle drawing during Holiday Extravaganza to win a big-screen TV, courtesy of the Chamber of Commerce and Revitalization.
