Want to know how much beach tags cost?

Need a place to stay?

Where are the parking lots?

All that and more can be found in the 2018 edition of the Sea Isle City Visitors Guide, a brochure-size publication that gives a quick rundown of special events, attractions and other valuable information that tourists and residents need to know.

“It’s very handy. We’ve had people come into the Welcome Center and literally call it a bible of information because they rely on it so heavily,” city spokeswoman Katherine Custer said. “It’s a wonderful resource for information. We feel it’s a very thorough and comprehensive tool for people who are visiting Sea Isle and who live here year-round.”

The colorful Visitors Guide has just rolled off the presses for 2018. Altogether, Sea Isle has printed 50,000 copies. Free to the public, they are available at the Sea Isle City Welcome Center, City Hall, real estate offices and local businesses. The city will also mail a copy to every property owner in town, Custer said.

Other copies will be included in the check-in packets given to vacationers when they pick up the keys for their rental properties.

A digital version of the Visitors Guide can be found on Sea Isle’s tourism website at www.visitsicnj.com.

The Visitors Guide includes a section on beach etiquette and safety tips.

For 2018, Sea Isle made the printed edition of the Visitors Guide a little smaller so it could easily be carried around in someone’s pocket, Custer noted.

“It fits better in people’s back pockets and hands,” she said.

Although it is small in size, it is packed with information about Sea Isle’s special events, family-style entertainment, tourist attractions, public restrooms, recreation, parking, transportation, lodging and more.

A monthly calendar of events lists things to do all the way up to New Year’s Eve.

If vacationers need help getting around town, the last four pages of the Visitors Guide fold out in a map that pinpoints the location of Sea Isle’s public buildings, facilities and attractions.

One section of the guide includes the do’s and don’ts of beach etiquette, a gentle reminder for people to be on their best behavior when they’re out on the sand. For instance, alcoholic beverages are not permitted on the beach.

Another section includes some commonsense safety tips for beachgoers, including swimming near a lifeguard, being extra careful in rough surf, keeping an eye on children and making sure that umbrellas and tents are properly secured from the wind.

Beach tags are required from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day. They cost $5 for a daily tag, $10 for a weekly badge and $25 for the entire season. Seasonal tags can be purchased at the discounted price of $20 until May 15.

The Visitors Guide lists the locations where beach tags can be purchased. Sea Isle also has a mobile app to buy beach tags.
