Sea Isle City has honored the memory of the nearly 3,000 victims killed in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks with a special video tribute.

Each year the city holds its Patriot Day remembrance on Sept. 11, but chose not to have an in-person ceremony this year amid the coronavirus pandemic.

In the video tribute, Mayor Leonard Desiderio urges everyone to keep the 9/11 victims and their loved ones in their thoughts and prayers as the nation observes the 19th anniversary of the attacks.

“Simply put, 9/11 was the deadliest terrorist attack in human history, and it is up to each of us to always remember that fateful day,” he said.
