About the only thing that makes a great craft beer even greater is to enjoy it in Sea Isle City.

And to do so in a festival setting with dozens of craft beers available and perfect weather…well now you are taking things to a whole new level of great. That’s what attendees had to enjoy yesterday at the 2017 Sea Isle Beer Fest.

Denis Brown and Stallion Marketing LLC promoted and ran this years event and did a great job. The event, now in its fifth year, was located in the space behind Kix-McNutley’s at 64th and Landis Ave. drew thousands of beer aficionados, and plenty of people just enjoying a good time.

Attendees paid $40 for general admission, which entitled them to sample more than 60 different varieties of suds. $10 designated driver tickets were also hot sellers for people helping to keep everyone safe and enjoying everything except the beer.

Matt McKelvey and Matt Ryan worked the Pinelands Brewing Company tent;. The big mover of the day was the Coconut Cream Ale.

Beer might have been the reason for the event, but there were other highlights. Dozens of food vendors, crafters, games and music kept things interesting for everyone. There was a large outdoor game area, live music from the Animal House Band, the Kix Lincoln Grill Food Truck,  and more fun than most people can stand.

Lauren Frech, Kevin Goudie, and Matt Redmond worked the Cape May Brewing Company Tent.

Judging from the reactions of the attendees, next year’s edition of the Beer Fest will have a lot to live up to.

The day would not be complete without some muchies from the Kix Yum Yum Truck.
