For more than 20 years, Rick’s Breakfast House has been the morning destination for many in Sea Isle City.

Whether it is families discussing their activities of the day or friends catching up over coffee, the restaurant has something for everyone on the menu.

Previously located on the other side of the block, the eatery moved to its current home at 6112 Landis Ave. in May 2016.

The restaurant, clad in shore décor, is locally owned and operated by Debbie and Rick Pinter along with their family. Since the beginning, the Pinter family has been working and running the eatery together.

Owner Debbie Pinter explained how the business is family-oriented. Her son is the cook and has been for years. Alongside him, her grandsons work in the kitchen, while her daughter and nieces work on the floor as waitresses and hostesses.

Owner Debbie Pinter sits at the register of her family-friendly restaurant.

The family-like atmosphere does not end with the employees. There is also a close relationship between the customers and employees.

Those bonds create a welcoming experience. Pinter explained how she has seen customers’ children grow up and then start their own families over the years.

Once a customer at Rick’s Breakfast House, always a customer, she says. This relationship enhances the experience at the restaurant.

At Rick’s Breakfast House, they are always excited to see their family grow, Pinter said.

“We always like to see new faces,” she noted.

She explained how it expands their community and creates a community within the restaurant.

Customers enjoy their meals in the shore-themed restaurant.

The customers affect the eatery in more ways than one. Some of the meals and specials were invented by customers.

For example, “G’s Special” is made up of scrambled eggs, hot peppers, and cheese home fries all mixed together courtesy of one of the regulars.

The shop, open year round, is a great place to get together while sipping on a fresh cup of coffee.

Open every day in the summer and on weekends in the winter months, Rick’s Breakfast House is not just a place to get breakfast, it is also a place to catch up with people in the community. An added bonus is the free parking.

Customers can enjoy a cup of coffee or breakfast at the counter.
