Easter weekend is expected to start out as a wet one, according to a weather advisory by the Cape May County Office of Emergency Management.

Heavy rain will sweep into the area starting Friday night and continuing into Saturday morning, leading to possible flash flooding, the National Weather Service is forecasting.

Thunderstorms late Friday could produce strong winds. There may also be minor tidal flooding on back bays coinciding with high tide Friday night.

The weather is expected to turn mostly sunny with temperatures in the low 60s for Easter Sunday.
