Former Sea Isle City Beach Patrol Captain Bill Gallagher will sound the starting horn on August 12 during the 47th Annual Captain Bill Gallagher 10-Mile Island Run. The race, which was re-named in Captain Gallagher’s honor more than 25 years ago, attracts over 1000 athletes each year.
