Someday, the HBO Hard Knocks clip of Giants' president and co-owner John Mara saying "I'll have a tough time sleeping if Saquon goes to Philadelphia" will stop being hilarious.
"I'll have a tough time sleeping if Saquon goes to Philadelphia, I'll tell you that."
One of the last things John Mara said before Saquon became an Eagle 😬

Today is not that day.
Saquon Barkley teamed with sleep aid Unisom to film a commercial that lit up the internet on Thursday, with Barkley suggesting that certain folks (cough, Mara, cough cough) could use some of the product ahead of Sunday's Eagles/Giants game.

The sheep backwards-hurdling a fence are a nice touch. Chef's kiss.
SAQUON BARKLEY IS NOT OF THIS WORLD.

Is the ad a little mean-spirited? Maybe. But let's remember that New York reportedly never made a formal contract offer to the superstar. Giants general manager Joe Schoen told Barkley to go "test the market and see what [his] value is," while NY quarterback Daniel Jones was stinking up the field on a four-year, $160-million deal.
And if Barkley and the Eagles really wanted to rub things in, they could've forced the Giants to watch Barkley break the NFL single-season rushing record against them in Week 18. The Birds will instead rest their Pro Bowl running back and most other starters.

Barkley's contract with the Eagles will take him through the 2026 season and pay him up to $37.75 million.
