There will be slight traffic delays this week on two toll bridges serving the Cape May County shore communities.
Maintenance work is scheduled for each weekday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the Middle Thorofare Bridge between Cape May and Wildwood Crest and the Grassy Sound Bridge connecting North Wildwood and Stone Harbor through Middle Township.
Motorists should expect slight to minor traffic delays during the work, according to the Cape May County Bridge Commission.
There will be no effect on boat traffic requiring an opening of either drawbridge, the commission said.
The schedules for the maintenance work are subject to change due to weather conditions or other factors “beyond the commission’s control.”
