The Eagles victory in Super Bowl LIX likely just gave a couple million people an extra long holiday weekend.
And maybe it's apropos. The Eagles are the heartbeat of the City of Brotherly Love - and it's Valentine's Day. That's some real symmetry for a championship parade.
While the city of Philadelphia has not confirmed when the parade will be just yet, the Eagles decided not to wait for an official announcement and told everyone at midnight.
The reason you can't click on the video is because that's a screenshot. Why? Because the Eagles deleted the tweet soon after - throwing the date of the parade back into flux.
But when you think of it, it makes perfect sense that it would be Friday.
There is some sketchy weather rolling through the area in the middle part of the week - snow and freezing rain spread out over three days.
But more importantly, next Monday is President's Day, which is a federal holiday. So, it's already a long weekend for most. What better way to kick off a long weekend than with another day off to celebrate the Eagles winning their second Super Bowl?
A four-day weekend, with a party with roughly two million of your closest friends. That sounds like it's totally Philly.
The city probably wants to be the one that makes the announcement - after all, these announcements are always performative - so, they will likely make it official and announce the parade date and route early on Monday, but you can rest assured it will incorporate a good portion of Broad Street from South Philly to Center City.
Expect a sea of green all the way from the Linc to City Hall - and then probably cut over to Ben Franklin Parkway and all the way to the Art Museum.
Nobody does parades like Philadelphia, and the city is preparing for their second major sports championship in the past seven years.
