A Philadelphia man wanted in the killing of his fiancee in Upper Township has been arrested.

Joseph Augustus Ragan IV, 22, was arrested last week in Ottumwa, Iowa, where he was apparently living, BreakingAC has learned.

Ragan is accused of helping Sarah Errickson shoot her sister full of drugs in an attempt make her death look like a suicide.

Emily Cruddas, 21, had just gotten out of the hospital, where she was sent following a suicide attempt after the miscarriage of the child she and Ragan were expecting.

“I’m so excited to have you by my side through thick and thin,” she wrote in a TikTok post Jan. 18, 2023, that included a photo array of her and Joseph Ragan, and a picture of four positive pregnancy tests.

Errickson, 36, allegedly used her sister's struggle to put into action a plan she had talked about for a while, according to the allegations.

Police were called to the Upper Township home the sisters shared Feb. 17, 2023, and found Cruddas unresponsive, with three baggies stamped with "White House" nearby.

Cruddas was pronounced dead.

Weeks later, Ragan when to State Police and told them that Errickson had given her sister Xanax, in an attempt to incapacitate her.

Then, Ragan held the woman's mouth closed as Errickson shot her up with what he described as about a dozen bags of drugs in a syringe.

"Take your medicine," he supposedly told the woman he had planned to marry.

Ragan then waited by her side for seven hours before Cruddas died.

Timothy Barrus — who was engaged to Errickson at one point — called 911 the next day to report the apparent overdose.

Although Ragan admitted to the crime nearly two years ago, no charges were filed until last month, when Barrus apparently confirmed the story in an interview with police accompanied by his attorney.

He has not been charged at this time.

Ragan is in the Wapello County Jail on a fugitive warrant awaiting extradition back to Cape May County to face the charges.

A listing of arrests say Joseph Augustus Ragan IV was picked up on a warrant Jan. 30, around Chester Avenue and Webster Street.

Cruddas' family did not learn of the arrest until Thursday.

Errickson was ordered to remain jailed following a detention hearing Monday.

The couple appears happy in a photo that was part of her last TikTok post.
