St. Joseph Catholic Church
Everyone involved in construction, the trades, and home-related projects is invited to come to St. Joseph Catholic Church on May 1 for the “Blessing of Tools.”
The ceremony will be held at the church’s Parish Center parking lot at 44th Street and Central Avenue in Sea Isle City at 4:30 p.m.
Bring your tools and the church pastor, Father Perry Cherubini, will bless and sprinkle them with holy water.
The event will be held in celebration of the Feast of St. Joseph the Worker. Joseph was a carpenter and is the patron saint of carpenters, craftsmen, engineers and workers in general.
The Feast of St. Joseph the Worker is annually celebrated on May 1. According to Catholic tradition, the ceremony recognizes the dignity of labor and the importance of work in a person’s life.
